URJ Heller High is an accredited semester or summer-long program for Reform Jewish high school students in grades 10 to 12. The program offers an unparalleled opportunity to be immersed in the richness of the land, culture, people and history of Israel, all while earning high school and college credit. Now is a great time to start thinking about opportunities for the upcoming school year! For Use in January

The Spring semester of the Heller High will depart at the end of the month. Does spending four months in Israel, traveling around the country, making incredible friends, and taking Jewish History, Hebrew, and general studies classes from home sound interesting? For use around Passover

At the end of the Passover Seder, we say, “L’Shana Haba’a b’Yerushalym” Next year in Jerusalem. Give your high school student the opportunity to experience Passover next spring in Israel at Heller High. Based at Kibbutz Tzuba, located 15 minutes outside of Jerusalem, students take Jewish History, Hebrew, and their regular general studies courses to fulfill the requirements of their home high schools.

Students have a unique opportunity to benefit from experiential learning. They take field trips to visit the actual site they are learning about in their Jewish history class. There are numerous week-long trips throughout the semester, including a trip to Poland to study the Holocaust, a week in Gadna (a simulated Israeli army training experience), and a hike across the country from the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) to the Mediterranean Sea.
